Shougang

Once the largest steel producer in Northern China, Shougang was closed after 89 years to reduce air pollution in time for the 2008 Olympic games. The Beijing Winter Olympics of 2022 will however give new purpose to many of it's buildings when the site is redeveloped to host the event.
